Help Us Press Overcome On Vinyl
Overcome, made entirely remotely with Fay Victor and Camila Meza, is a heartfelt tribute to this moment we are sharing globally. The project began in discussions with trombonist Ryan Keberle, as we looked to focus on civic engagement and speaking about justice in the context of the recent US election. The album opens with a majestic version of "We Shall Overcome” featuring Fay and Camila along with bassist Jorge Roeder and drummer Rudy Royston. You really should hear it.
After we released the music digitally in December 2020 to great acclaim - including press from Rolling Stone, Stereogum, and NPR - we received many requests for a vinyl version. We have decided to launch a campaign with Bandcamp to make a 12” LP special edition of this special music on heavyweight vinyl. Bandcamp has been a wonderful partner through this whole period and we’re really excited about this vinyl pressing opportunity.
