Olive's Big Mess (outtake)

from Subscriber Series 2007 by Dave Douglas

about

Olive’s Big Mess (comp. Douglas) – Recorded at the Keystone session, January 20, 2005. DJ Olive (vinyl and laptop), Jamie Saft (wurlitzer and effects), Gene Lake (drums), Brad Jones (ampeg baby bass), Marcus Strickland (soprano sax), Dave Douglas (trumpet). Part of the score for Fatty’s Tintype Tangle (1916). This is our reading of the piece, and a pretty informal set of variations and stretching out. Fun. All Olive’s fault.
